After this conversation with her, I realized something. We are not always defeated by the things we do not know, but many times we are defeated by the things that we know. We must also realize; however, that, though we are sometimes defeated by what we know, there is also good news. We are victorious, we are overcomers and we have faith in God because of what we know.

One of the most well known and most often quoted verses in the entire Bible is Romans 8:28. But many times, this verse is quoted as, "all things work together for good." But equally important are the first four words, "And we know that…." God spoke to me to remind you of "And we know that…."

"And we know that….:" WE ARE FORGIVEN. Do you really understand the forgiveness of God and what it means to you? When God forgives you of your sins, in His eyes, you literally return to a state of innocence before Him. You become a new creation. “Old things (sins) are passed away.” Sins are forgotten by God to be remembered no more; and you become a sinless birthed child of God. You become a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, your name written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life. You become a child of the Most High God.

When you are saved, all the baggage of the past is not left hanging on you. You are not saved with all the sins of the past living at your doorstep. You are not saved with God holding you in continued judgment for your wrong doing. To be saved means to be brought out of everything of sin and lifted above the result of every sin you have ever committed. You are returned to the innocence with God that you had with Him before you were birthed into this world. All life came from God and will return to God after the death of this present body. "And we know that…"

"And we know that:" EVERY TRIAL, EVERY BATTLE AND EVERY HEARTACHE THAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW IS ONLY FOR THE MOMENT AND IT WILL NOT LAST. Without this confidence, the future looks so dismal and fearful. Regardless of how black the night, regardless of how long the hours, regardless of how empty our hearts may be at the moment, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning," Psalms 30:5. Every person, at some time, will have nights of devastation. Weeping will come into every person’s life because there is no answer to their present problem. But, Child of God, we know that morning is on its way. We know that the sun is going to shine. We know that God will wipe away every tear from every eye.

"And we know that:" WE [I] PERSONALLY HAVE POWER OVER THE DEVIL. Reality means nothing. Perception, or what we think or believe, is everything. Therefore, if Satan can get you to believe the wrong thing, then the wrong thing becomes truth to you. If you were taught that two plus two equals five; then forever your addition and subtraction would be wrong. Satan’s greatest weapon is the power of deception; to deceive you into believing something that is not true. If he can do this, then forever you will be defeated and live in trouble, doubt and fear.

Satan does not want you to know that YOU have power over him. He will deceive you into believing he has power over you, over your life, your home, your money, your family and your ministry; and that you can do nothing to break that power. But hear what God said, "Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." I John 4:4. "YOU MUST KNOW THAT YOU PERSONALLY HAVE POWER OVER THE DEVIL.

"And we know that:” WE SORROW NOT AS OTHERS SORROW, FOR WE HAVE A LIFE AND HOPE BEYOND THIS LIFE. Jesus Christ promised His disciples, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." And He did on the day of Pentecost in the form of the Holy Ghost, John 14:18. Still, He also appears every day to us in some form or another. And even that does not take away from the fact of the physical and literal return of Jesus Christ. And we know that “this same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go away," Acts 1:11. Do I understand how this can happen? No. Do I understand when it will happen? No. Do I know all things concerning this? No,. But do I believe Jesus is coming again? YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! "And we know that “Every Man that hath this hope purifieth himself, even as he is pure," I John 3:3.

"And we know that:" GIVING TO GOD BRINGS A RELEASE OF HIS BLESSINGS UPON OUR LIVES. God does not teach that prayer brings a financial blessing. Neither does God teach fasting or good works or moral living brings the blessings of God upon your money. BUT GOD SAID GIVING WILL. If you know that giving to God brings a financial blessing, if you know that you need God’s blessings upon your money, if you know that planting a financial seed brings a harvest; then I am telling you to plant a financial miracle seed to God this month  -- not a seed of need, but a seed of blessing.  Can and will you reap this kind of harvest? It may stretch your faith, but we know that GOD IS GOING TO GIVE YOU A MIRACLE IF YOU WILL.
